IMPORTANT! The water must be changed with clean water every 2-3 weeks or else it will affect the function of the product & may cause algae growth.

WARNING! This decorative product is not a toy and is not intended to be used to aid the sensory development of babies and young children. Do not allow children to play with this product. Adult supervision is recommended if the product is positioned in the presence of children. Please read these instruction carefully before operating the lamp and retain for future reference.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Do not operate in packaging.
• Do not allow any part to come into contact with excessive heat or naked flame.
• This lamp is not a toy. Ensure children are supervised and do not play with it.
• Only use the USB power cable provided.
• Cable must be positioned so it is not a tripping or entanglement hazard.
• Unplug the power supply when not in use.
• Do not use the lamp if the USB cable is damaged.
• Only use this lamp as described in this manual.
• Do not insert anything into any part of the lamp at any time.
• Only use the lamp on a flat, level and stable surface.
• For indoor use only.
• This item is not suitable for live fish.
• Do not attempt to move the product when filled with water.
• Position lamp where it cannot be knocked over.
• This lamp is a Class III appliance and must connected to a suitable USB power socket e.g. laptop or USB adaptor (rated power not greater than 5v /5W). Only use the cable provided. Never connect directly to the mains electricity supply without a suitable adaptor.
• Do not modify or alter any product before or after installation.
• Do not place lamp in direct sunlight.
• Check for leaks on first use and then on a regular basis.
• Ensure the power supply is an adequate distance from the tube and that there is no tension in the USB cable.
• Using distilled water instead of tap water will help prevent algae growth.
• Switch off and unplug from power supply when not in use.
• Do not run for more than 6 hours per day.
• Do not leave running overnight.
• Do not shake the lamp to make the fish move.
• Always switch off and unplug from the power supply before emptying or filling the tube with water.

INSTALLATION

• Remove the cap from the top of the acrylic tube.
• Fill the acrylic column with approx. 7.5 Litres of clean water. DO NOT OVERFILL.
• If using the fish, rinse them in water as described below before adding to tube.
• Replace the cap to the top of the acrylic tube.
• Make sure the product is completely dry on the outside.
• Connect the supplied USB cable to a suitable power source and the DC input jack into the base of the lamp.
• Use the switch on the base to turn ON/OFF. FLOATING FISH OPERATION
• Clean the fish in a separate bowl of warm water (70-80˚C) for approx. 3-5 minutes.
• Do not add detergent/washing-up liquid to this lamp - this lamp produces bubbles and adding washing-up liquid will product too many bubbles.
• Stir water to clean fish.
• With some tweezers, carefully remove the fish from bowl and add the to the filled acrylic tube.

NOTE: The swimming level of the fish depends on the water density. You can change the density by putting some salt into the water.

MAINTENANCE

CAUTION! ALWAYS DISCONNECT POWER SUPPLY WHEN SERVICING OR CLEANING.

• This product contains moving parts, some noise and vibration is to be expected.
• If the fish fail to sink they may have small air bubbles on them, tapping the fish lightly with tweezers will disperse the bubbles. * The product has a one-way valve fitted, this must not be removed or reversed as it prevents water from getting back into the pump.
• Clean only with mild soap and water, do not use any abrasives.
• If lamp is not used for extended periods (e.g over one week), the water must be emptied to avoid stagnation.
• Check for leaks when first assembled & on a regular basis.
